Yuriy's 'Snow White' aka Sonata 2T

I figured its about time I posted some stuff in the garage section, mostly for feed back, and suggestion purposes...so feel free to rip me a new one.

I'll start off with the my current pictures, not going to upload what it looked liked when I bought it.

this here is a little inspiration for roughly what I am doing minus that bodykit cuz its not my style.

So far my mods are (not going into great detail ask if you want to know more):
-Rims are 18" Enkeis
-20% tint allround
-50% front windshield
-Nameless intake, charge pipe, turboback.
-Turboback was chopped up a little by GTexhaust and re-wielded about 1.5-2 inches higher, was hanging way to low.

I have put a hold on performance parts as of now, because I am having problems with my PCM, and getting a new one next week (2011 December), after that I am going to be 'testing' my car for a few month to makes sure I have no other problems before I void any more warranties. The PCM replacement is covered under warranty, they tried to tell me that my aftermarket intake could be responsible for my 'stalling' problems, and that I might have to pay for all repairs...I kindly tolled them to go fuck themselves, and they got Hyundai of Canada to approve the warranty work on my PCM.

However the performance mods that I was planning on getting for next year (2012) where,

-ecu re-flush + LCD display + Bluetooth integration for android and apple devises, by PowerAxel. They also serve the gencoupe. http://www.poweraxel.net/

For visual mods I am skipping interior for a few years, I like my cabin as is.
After winter (2012) I am planning on getting a lip kit, painting roof and all chrome gloss or matte black, not sure which one yet. Door handles are going to be body color or black not sure as of now same goes for truck lip not sure if to go with body color or black. If you look at my rims those triangle inserts (I have a spare pair in silver) are going to be pained pearlesent white to match body color. At the same time I am going to stick some TTS logos on the windshield and maybe some more too!

Once that is done I might lower the car, still not sure if I am going to use springs or full coil-overs.

Next step is my taillights and head lights, as of now thats what I am thinking, got 3 choices for taillights don't know what I want for sure. also going to do a light smoke tint on both head and tail lights.

I think that about covers it for now, somewhere in between I am going to stick my performance parts prolly after the lip kit and before the lights retrofit.

any suggestions, ideas, critiques, bitching, and whining welcomed.

Nice progress and the future plans you have are exciting. That sucks to hear about the PCM issues you are having but glad to hear that you do not have to pay for it and it is getting fixed. The future plans you have are pretty sweet and I took a look at the links you provided and your car is going to look HOT.

That lip kit looks awesome, and the idea you have with your wheels and incorporating white in them will look really nice too. As for the choices of tail lights, I vote for these ones..

from the numbers that I have seen a stock gencoupe 2t is a bit slower then a stock 2t sonata, after I get my pcm replaced I'll see if they fixed the software for their 0-60 times, and go throw her on the dyno.

Its kinda lame....I haven't been able to put my foot down for almost 2 weeks now out of fear of stalling :(

Future plans are full of win! lip-kit and roof spoiler are clean, and I recommend getting coilovers>springs.

i say go body-colour with the door handles, looks cleaner. black would make it look base-model, even if they don't come with black.

base model door handles are body color, but I don't really car, still thinking.
I don't like vinyl it costs more for me then to get painted, because of the shark fin in the roof, plus paint can be polished and scratches buffed out, not so much for vinyl. I am pretty sure I am going gloss black and gloss paint looks way better then glossy wrap.

I am cracking up, I can't decide what to order once newyear hits....they are having a group buy on the ECU reflush...and I really want the FMIC from Nameless....But I can't stand my car looking like other sonatas, it drives me crazy to the point of wanting to ram them off the road .

What would you vote for?

All the mods on my car are put on hold indefinitely as of now. Car still has problems nothing was fixed, my car is going in for the fifth time in the past 5 weeks. There is a good chance that I will have to return to everything stock.

Anyway if they can't fix it this week, then its going to get ugly, and in the end I might have to take them to court.

thanks, at least I get to drive Elentras Touring loaners from the dealership....so far I had the blue one, and this week I got a silver one!....maybe next week I'll try to indulge in another color, maybe a red! Very safe cars too, when you slam on the gas pedal nothing really happens, it just goes VROOOM! like a 30 year old loan mower, as a school bus full of kids takes you over. I like those preventative measures, 'no one moves, no one gets hurt.'

if you only met my prius and its power, if only.

got my car back....going to try to fix things out of warranty first, if that fails, I am going to slap all my stock parts back on, and see if the problem persists.

So....its most likely one of the two, Wastegate, or cold weather. I would love it to be the wastgate, but in all honesty its looking like its cuz of the cold weather. The car shuts off cuz the boost climbs too height to fast. Seems a few other people have similar problem in cold weather....also only effects people who drive hard, normal and sane people need not to worry.
I do feel the difference from the summer days, cold winter mornings it launches scary fast at just past 4k rpm.

its hard, cuz everyone has to go out of their way to takeover/cutoff/tailgate the dude with the loud exhaust.
